nhl players onjly make $ more than soccer players

so the owners families are set for many generations to come!! but the nhl players families are only set for a couple decades! and the players dont make **** compared to the rest of the sports outthere!! last in the world and only 2nd to soccer here in the US..so the OWNERS HAVE NO HEART!



LIKE MOST BOSSES OUTTHERE DONT GIVE A F BOUT MORALE! SURE U EARNED UR MONEY AND UR POSITION BUT U HAVE SOMETHING MORE THAN MONEY RIGHT?! A TEAM!! U MAKE THAT TEAM BETTER AND U GIVE THEM TOOLS! THAT IN TURN MAKES U THAT MORE MONEY! GOSH WHY DONT THEY KNOW ANYTHING?

They are also in a less-popular sport. Even soccer, at least overseas, has more fans than Hockey does.

You have to take that all within context. Ideally, player salaries (any sport) need to be in align with the accouting of the sport. Leagues that make money will have higher player salaries then ones that don't.

Currently, in the United States market, NHL player contracts are not necessarily aligned with the business. I would venture to guess that when it comes to ticket sales, merchandise, advertising, etc, NHL falls behind most major sports (in the US). With that said, hard to justify many 7+ million/year contracts some players are getting, especially in non-popular markets.

Plenty of blame to go around, and pointing fingers at both sides.
